We just went for beers and drinks. They accept kids. Is a very nice tavern. We love it. They have tempting food at a good price.

Met here for a friends get together. The atmosphere is authentic London patina’d wood pub. Food is good for the price, I had the Sunday roast beef and for £17 it was very good. Good beer selection and kept well. Service could be better with a little training of the young friendly staff. Busy with British Museum opposite.

I called in at about 5.30pm on the way to Euston Station. I didn't eat there but enjoyed a pint of the Museum real ale (£6). Although it was busy, I managed to get a seat. The pub has character.

Outside tables are always a mess. They never seem to clean up empty glasses, crisp packets, used tissues, or ashtrays. It can be dead quiet inside, no customers at the bar to request anything, and the staff will just sit on their phones, no thought of tidying up, especially the outside tables on the sidewalk.
This has to be the laziest pub staff in London. Such a shame.

Extraordinario!!!! Un gran acierto entrar después de visitar el Museo Británico.
Un sitio muy bonito, antiguo y con historia. Aunque no habíamos reservado sólo esperamos 5 minutos para comer.
El pie delicioso y el fish and chips el mejor que hemos comido en Londres acompañados de Estrella de Galicia.
Absolutamente recomendable para disfrutar de la comida tradicional inglesa sin dejarte el sueldo al pagar.
Nada que ver con lo que ofrecen ciertas cadenas de comida.
En nuestro próximo viaje a Londres volveremos seguro.

Excelente.
Fish and chips buenísimo, en su punto, y las patatas perfectas. Además venía acompañado de guisantes y de brotes de guisantes.
Pastel de carne también buenísimo y perfectamente cocinado. Acompañado de col y de patatas en puré que estaba exquisito.
Todo acompañado por dos pintas de Estrella de Galicia.
Servicio amable y correcto en un Pub precioso que es el mas antiguo de la zona.
Para los dos pagamos 48,40 libras que es un precio muy bueno para la calidad que tomamos.

Lovely old pub, great history written and displayed so you can learn about it, originally the dog and duck dating back to the 1700s.
We had the chicken and bacon ciabatta with chips, food was delicious.
If your visiting the British museum it's worth a stop in.

Absolutely love this pub, just so proper..! 3rd visit in the week we have been here. Give any of the beers a try and the fish and chips are a must do..!!

絶対に行かない方がいい。
携帯電話を盗まれました。ホームレスのような女性が入ってきて、紙を見せられボソボソ言っているのに気を取られ、その隙にテーブルの上にあった携帯電話を盗まれました。
店員はそのホームレスを追い払うわけでもなく、携帯電話の盗難後、助けを求めても、「よくあることだ、残念だったね」といった態度で、全体的に無愛想です。
高い価格を払っているのに、店員のサービスが悪い。

Nos atendieron muy bien, todo correcto, lo único que como en muchos sitios de Londres tú tienes que pedir en barra pagar y llevártelo a la mesa que para el precio que cobran tendría que estar incluido en el precio, al estar frente al museo Británico su clientela mayoritaria es de turistas.

Ci siamo fermati a mangiare da Museum Tavern prima della nostra vista al British Museum. Siamo stati attirati da una location molto suggestiva e tipica da pub londinese. Infatti non siamo rimasti delusi, l’ambiente all’interno anche se piccolino era molto accogliente e ben disposto. Peccato per il servizio veramente inesistente, appena entrati non ci hanno nemmeno accolto o salutato, abbiamo poi capito di doverci sedere da soli e chiedere il menù al tavolo da parte. Un’altra pecca del servizio è sicuramente il fatto che il cibo va ordinato autonomamente al bar, che per fortuna poi ti viene portato al tavolo. Questo tipo di servizio potrebbe funzionare se ci fosse una persona addetta solo alle ordinazioni e non anche al bar come in questo caso.
Abbiamo preso due hamburger e nonostante fossero molto belli e presentabili mancavano veramente di sapore. Peccato perché il locale avrebbe veramente del potenziale, soprattutto vista la sua ottima location da parte al British Museum.

Cosy little pub, straight across from the British museum. The staff were super friendly and helpful, the food was fantastic and there were a wide assortments of beers, ales and wines. We had the fish and chips which was crispy but juicy, and the duck hash which is probably the best duck I’ve ever had. You really get what you pay for

I had a fantastic Sunday lunch at the Museum Tavern! The ambience was warm and inviting, with charming décor that added to the classic pub feel. The highlight of my meal was the chicken pie—perfectly cooked with a rich, flavorful filling and a golden, flaky crust. The atmosphere made for a relaxed and enjoyable dining experience. Overall, it was a lovely visit, and I’d definitely return!
